Superb former abbey. Lovely staff, old building and location on the banks of the Loire. The abbey has a fascinating history. We ate there twice and the food and service were excellent. No restaurant on Friday, but there are many excellent restaurants nearby. The old abbey has many steps if you are on the second floor, but the building is so insulated that it was incredibly cool despite the 0°C heat during our stay. Eating on the terrace is a real pleasure, with a gentle breeze coming off the river. We are a 56 year old married couple with an old almost blind dog and we loved this place. The breakfast was also very good and the atmosphere in the bar was very relaxed.
Friendly staff and exceptional location. The château is magnificent and offers an unforgettable experience. However, the rooms are quite small and the stairs slippery. Breakfast was good but the choice was limited.
An exceptional place in the heart of Beaugency! The Abbey offers a unique atmosphere, combining heritage and art of living. In summer, it's a real treat to enjoy a drink overlooking the Loire, with a breathtaking view. In winter, the cosy lounges are the perfect setting for a cosy moment. The rotisserie is simply incredible: top-quality meats, perfectly cooked, flavours to match. An address not to be missed, whether for the setting, the welcome or the cuisine. Well done to the whole team for this magnificent spot that's a must-try!
A comfortable hotel in a beautiful location, a place where the walls have a history, rooms that transport us back in time! We just loved it! And the breakfast with fresh, home-made products, the rotisserie dinner, everything was perfect! Thank you for welcoming our 2 dogs too!
This magnificent abbey, nestling against the Beaugency abbey church and set on the banks of the Loire in an enchanting setting, was a wonderful discovery.Renovated and restored with great skill and equipped with all modern comforts, the hotel has retained the charm of the past while respecting the history of the place.A great success! An incredible place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Magnificent building and architecture. Located on the banks of the Loire. The traditional wood-fired cuisine was excellent and the breakfast offered a wide choice.
Very beautiful place, well maintained and staff and boss super nice pleasant and professional. And what can I say, your breakfast overlooking the Loire is very, very copious, something for everyone, and the spit-roasted dinner is magnificent and very, very good. Bravo continue. Not to be missed when visiting the region. Bravo.
We had a drink on the terrace on Ascension Thursday and the service was perplexing... We had to ask the waitress to clear the table as she brought us 1 cider for 2! We had ordered 2. When we pointed out to her that we had ordered 2 frames, her reply was: "I've only got 1 left" and she opened it by spilling 1/4 of the bottle onto the table.A couple of stranglers to whom she had brought the drinks waited 20 minutes without her coming back to take their order! As the waiters were starting to set up for dinner, I explained to a waiter that these people were waiting in vain to order their drinks. When setting up for dinner a waiter dropped a huge tray of glasses, most of which exploded on the floor.the remaining glasses, which had not been broken but had fallen to the floor, were picked up and put back on the tables.all this in front of foreign tourists and ourselves! What an image of disorganisation and hygiene we are showing to tourists, I wonder !!!!Enfin, is there any management in this hotel.I have stayed there several times and always with different people.
Charming, beautifully renovated hotel in a former abbey, directly on the Loire, with excellent meals served in front of a huge fireplace. We will certainly be back.
