A wonderful place! We booked it for two days to visit the surrounding castles. Our room overlooking the Loire, with its old-world charm and luxurious bathroom, was simply fantastic! Breakfast offered an excellent selection of regional products: freshly baked baguette, freshly squeezed orange juice and a delicious selection of cheeses, for example! Highly recommended!
I tried to book online on the hotel's website and, after entering all my personal information, my card payment was declined. The amount was €0! My email went unanswered. This is not a service worthy of the name.Thanks for nothing.
A very pleasant stay thanks to the kindness of the staff, especially the young woman at reception, and throughout our stay. MADAM, don't change a thing and thank you!! Lovely hotel, well located. Please note that the restaurant is closed until May; it's a shame, as the end of the season is beautiful and we would have liked to enjoy it, knowing that having an on-site restaurant was one of the criteria for choosing the hotel. It would be good to state this clearly on your website.
Charming hotel with a superb view of the Loire. Congratulations on restoring this site, which immerses us in the serene atmosphere of the abbey. Top-notch staff at reception and in the restaurant (a little wink to Bienvenu, the star of the place). And the rotisserie, which delighted our taste buds!
It’s a journey through time, like the film The Visitors. You go back to the Middle Ages; the spaces are impressive. The rooms are spacious and a little in their original state, apart from the bathroom, which has been refurbished. The bedding is good. Very pleasant rotisserie menu for dinner, apart from the wines, which I enjoyed less; on the other hand, the iced soufflé was excellent. Sale of quality grocery products, especially verbena!
Ideally located opposite the Loire, architecture and history enthusiasts, you are in the right place (a walking tour of the town centre), (sunrises and sunsets with incredible colours), professional and warm welcome, very pleasant staff, spacious room, bright bathroom. The restaurant offers a short menu; the dishes are flavoursome and generous, and the cooking is expertly done. We will gladly return. I recommend it.
We had a wonderful evening. The steaks were cooked to perfection: tender and flavoursome. The béarnaise sauce complemented them perfectly. The presentation was meticulous, with an assortment of vegetables and potatoes. For dessert, we enjoyed a delicate and creamy tiramisu, a real delight. The staff were charming and very helpful. The hotel enjoys an ideal location, with an unobstructed view over the Loire and Beaugency Bridge. What a pleasure to enjoy such a wonderful dinner in a restaurant steeped in history!
Good food, authentic décor, charming staff, but service is sometimes a little slow.
